this is the idea: Under research in desktop menu there is currently the point "spaceship" with no technologies to unlock right now. Surely there are plans for it, but not sure if something like the following are planned.
What is "Advanced docking"?:
Advanced docking could be a special technology, which allows players to dock to tiny spacestations and/our special ships. These special objects could be seen on the map, but if the player wants to travel to these via desktop, he/she gets the (error-)message, that the ship is currently unable to do so and the ship needs to be upgraded. This adds more progression to the spaceship section. It would be perfect if the ressources needed for this technology would reflect visually by altering the look of the players spaceship. Example: Player needs to add iron blocks for technology = on the underside of spaceship the is a docking area out of iron blocks.
With advanced docking the player would be now be able to dock for example abandoned ships and spacestations floating in space, where he could find smth. valuable.
Ressources which would make sense to need for research: Iron/Iron blocks, glas, diamants, redstone elements (e.x. pistons).
What is "Advanced landing"?:
This goes in the same direction, but would instead be necessary to land on planets with for example very uneven terrain.
What is "Advanced pressure equalization"?
Same as above, but now for planets with extreme pressure like on the Venus.
