  • Bugs found by players

    As mentioned during todays livestream, scrolling to much on dektop causes for me a serverkick. I tried to reproduce this after you ended your stream and restarted the server. While I was not able to do this at the beginning, it somehow worked a bit later and got captured in the video below. Please note, that in the video I scrolled way more then I first had as found this, but way less then you ( Kademlia) in the stream. So no idea if the amount of scrolling is really the issue or maybe something else.

  • Idea for research on desktop: Advanced Docking / Landing / pressure equalization

    Hello,

    this is the idea: Under research in desktop menu there is currently the point "spaceship" with no technologies to unlock right now. Surely there are plans for it, but not sure if something like the following are planned.

    What is "Advanced docking"?:

    Advanced docking could be a special technology, which allows players to dock to tiny spacestations and/our special ships. These special objects could be seen on the map, but if the player wants to travel to these via desktop, he/she gets the (error-)message, that the ship is currently unable to do so and the ship needs to be upgraded. This adds more progression to the spaceship section. It would be perfect if the ressources needed for this technology would reflect visually by altering the look of the players spaceship. Example: Player needs to add iron blocks for technology = on the underside of spaceship the is a docking area out of iron blocks.

    With advanced docking the player would be now be able to dock for example abandoned ships and spacestations floating in space, where he could find smth. valuable.

    Ressources which would make sense to need for research: Iron/Iron blocks, glas, diamants, redstone elements (e.x. pistons).

    What is "Advanced landing"?:

    This goes in the same direction, but would instead be necessary to land on planets with for example very uneven terrain.

    What is "Advanced pressure equalization"?

    Same as above, but now for planets with extreme pressure like on the Venus.

    Bezüglich Drop-Sicherung: Wenn man mit vollem Inventar vor einem Item (x) so steht, dass es aufgehoben werden könnte und dann etwas anderes aus dem Inventar wirft (y), wird x in das Inventar aufgenommen und es erscheint die Meldung man müsse den Vorgang, dass y rausgeworfen werden soll, bestätigen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ist allerdings y bereits scheinbar unwiderruflich verschwunden. Y liegt weder auf dem Boden, noch kann es wieder zurückgeholt werden, indem man x aus dem Inventar entfernt.

    Lösungsvorschläge:


    1. Droppen in einem solchen Fall nicht erlauben oder

    2. Wenn das Inventar voll ist, Drop-Sicherung ausschalten, sodass y tatsächlich rausgewordfen wird.

  • [DE] Regarding the general terms and conditions of business [AGB]

    Hallo, also zuerst einmal: Ich verfasse den Thread auf Deutsch, da ich des Englischen nicht besonders mächtig bin.

    Es geht um Folgendes: Im Wiki zum Projekt steht, dass man eventuell bei Serverbeitritt die DSGVO und AGB zur Kenntnis nehmen muss, bevor man spielen darf. Bezüglich der DSGVO kann ich das ja verstehen, weil man sich als Serverbetreiber gewiss absichern möchte. Allerdings weiß ich nicht genau, was mit den AGB gemeint sein soll. Sind damit nur die Serverregeln gemeint oder tatäschlich AGB mit Haftungsbeschränkung usw. Ich habe letzteres bzw. auch das Verfahren an sich, das man sich als Spieler nicht bewegen kann bevor man zustimmt, bisher nur einmal auf einem anderen deutschen Server gesehen. Da stand dann soweit ich mich erinnere z.B., dass die Serverbetreiber sich vorbehalten einen geeigneten Altersnachweis des Spielers anzufordern. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass sowas viele Spieler abschrecken kann und wird. Vor allem als Elternteil, der ggf. um Erlaubnis vom Kind gefragt wird, wäre ich verunsichert bei einem Spielserver irgendeinen Art "Vertrag" mit AGB zuzustimmen, bei dem ich die AGB eventuell gar nicht außerhalb des Spiels einsehen kann.


    Könnte vielleicht diesbezüglich bereits etwas gesagt werden?
